Plastic Options at Vancore Plastic Packaging

Product We specialize in plastic packaging that utilizes plastic for the following types of package:
We favor PET and especially RPET because it is the most recycled plastic and can be recycled into a variety of mediums from building materials to the winter jacket you might wear, or the carpet you wipe your feet on when you enter the house.

PET Polyethylene Terephthalate – Good for food products in produce, bakery and deli. It is also used for non-food products that don’t need the same strength as the PVC for example. It is lightweight, clear and protects against moisture and gas. (Water bottles are PET)

RPET Remanufactured Polyethylene Terephthalate – Recycled PET used for both food and utility packaging.  The quality depends on the source.

PLA Polylactic Acid – Used for food products, made from corn derivates, is biodegradable (industrial).  Resists oil and grease and has high clarity.  It comes from a renewable source, but lacks the infrastructure in most communities for recycling to date.

PP Polypropylene – Used for many bakery containers, domes, clamshells.  Resistant to oils and moisture.  Very light weight.  Not well recycled in most communities.

PVC Polyvinyl Choride – Used for blister packaging and items requiring rigidity or very sturdy packaging.  Very resistant to chemicals and grease.

PVC – Pharmaceutical grade used for pills blister packaging.
